Becoming an alumnus of 1500 Sound Academy is just the beginning of your creative and professional journey. At the academy, we strive to help our alumni move forward towards achieving their goals in their musical career and help them navigate the music industry.
1500 Sound Academy has several opportunities that are exclusively available to our qualified alumni. From networking events to workshops, being an alumnus has its perks!
NFL Sync Opportunities
Our alumni have exclusive access to sync opportunities provided by the NFL Media Team. From musicbeds for gameday highlight videos to exclusive specials for the Superbowl, our alumni have an opportunity to create music and add credits to their professional resume and even won Emmy’s.
Beat Intensives
Attendees are given briefs to work individually on creating beats in an allotted amount of time. Each attendee showcases their beat they have created for the day and receives live feedback from faculty and peer review notes afterwards. With these beat intensives, alumni explore various genres and start to create their own catalogue of beats.
Songwriting Intensives
Attendees are placed into different groups and work together to create full songs based on a brief. Each group showcases their song and is given live feedback by faculty and given peer feedback afterwards. Groups are curated to help create new networking opportunities between graduates and meet new collaborators for future projects.
Performance Intensives
Our Vocal program alumni have an opportunity to have their performances reviewed and critiqued by our faculty. Alumni have an opportunity to perform their song(s) and receive live feedback on their performance and peer review notes afterwards. For anyone wanting to prepare for their next show or help with improving their performance for a song, this is a great activity.
Fix-It-Fridays
“Fix-It-Fridays”: our faculty reviews completed and work-in-progress songs/beats that our alumni are currently working on. Each attendee showcases their track and is given live feedback, and given peer review notes afterwards.
Twitch DJ Friday Streams
Alumni are given an opportunity to stream on our Twitch channel and receive a recording of their performance afterwards. Each student is given between 30-60 minutes per set. Our Twitch stream gives alumni an opportunity to showcase their DJ skills and continue to perfect their craft in mixing and performing for a digital live audience.
Alumni Feature
1500 Sound Academy wants to feature alumni on our website and social media pages. Our social media team is always open to sharing our alumni success stories, upcoming events and new releases. Alumni students are selected for an interview and featured on our social media pages.
