You can enroll in DJ mixing lessons at 1500 Sound Academy to delve into this fascinating world of mixing. Our on-campus Art of Mixing course offers an immersive experience in DJ mixing. It begins by covering DJ mixing basics while emphasizing essential components for developing your style.
As a DJ, it's essential to learn mixing styles, nuances in musical taste, and how to read a crowd to be successful. Therefore, by enrolling in our future-forward DJ mixing classes, you’ll learn everything from different mixing methods and beat matching to tempo mixing and scratching. All of 1500 Sound Academy's DJ mixing lessons are carried out using cutting-edge technology by our renowned faculty.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Manually match the tempo and transition between tracks
Blend tracks that are in the same key or relative key
Utilize different scratching styles to add excitement and flavor to a mix
Use audio effects for creative transitions and seamless track blending
Perform different types of mixes for various live scenarios

DJ Fundamentals
DJ Fundamentals kick-starts an aspiring DJ’s career faster than any other program in Los Angeles. Students of this program are ready for paid gigs after only three months of learning and practice. Beginner, aspiring or intermediate DJs are a great fit for this program. All elements of DJing are covered, such as controllers, CDJs & mixers, DJ Performance, going live on Twitch, music business and DJ branding.
There are two Enrollment Options:
Full Program (6 Courses). The full program costs $12,500 and includes six courses.
Individual Course(s). Choosing individual courses costs $2,250 per course.
Each course within the program is four weeks long. Enrollment in the entire program is six months in duration. DJ Fundamentals courses are not offered online. Partial VA Benefits may be applied to the DJ Fundamentals program. Financing options are available.
